Setting the output voltage of both channels when operating Aktakom ATH-22xx power supplies

  1. Connect Aktakom ATH-22xx power supply to the power source
  2. Press Power switch to turn on the power supply
  3. To set channel 1 use CH1 Voltage knob to adjust CH1 output voltage
  4. Connect the circuit to the Terminals
  5. Press Auto current cut off protection key to activate output. The output indicator will light on
  6. When CH1 CV/CC indicator is red, use CH1 current knob to adjust a suitable current
  7. To set CH2 voltage repeat the above steps using CH2 voltage knob, short main terminals for CH2 and CH2 CV/CC indicator instead.

Caution

  • Make sure the Input voltage selector is set to a correct position otherwise it will damage the power supply.
  • Do not short the main terminals over 1 minute it can also cause the power supply damage.

Setting the output current of both channels when operating Aktakom ATH-22xx power supplies

  1. Connect Aktakom ATH-22xx power supply to the power source
  2. Press Power switch to turn on the power supply
  3. To set channel 1 use CH1 Voltage knob to adjust CH1 output voltage around 2-5V
  4. For CH1 turn CH1 Current knob anticlockwise and reach the minimum current value.
  5. Short + and – main terminals for CH1 with a conductor which is cross section area not less than 0.5mm2
  6. Ensure the output indicator is on. Otherwise press Auto current cut off protection key. Then CH1 CV/CC indicator will turn to red.
  7. Adjust CH1 Current knob to set a desired output current
  8. Repress Auto current cut off protection key to cut off the output.
  9. Then CH1 CV/CC indicator will turn to green color.
  10. Remove the conductor
  11. Set to desired voltage
  12. Connect the circuit to the main terminals
  13. To setting CH2 current repeat the above steps using CH2 Current knob, short main terminals for CH2 and CH2 CV/CC indicator instead

Caution

  • Ensure the current is set to zero before shorting the main terminals. Otherwise it will damage the power supply.
  • Do not short the main terminals over 1 minute it can also cause the power supply damage.

Setting the independent mode when operating Aktakom ATH-22xx power supply

  1. Release both Tracking mode selection keys
  2. In independent mode CH1 and CH2 are two independent power supply channels, voltage or current can be adjusted separately.
  3. Adjust CH1 or CH2 Voltage/Current knobs to set the desired value.
  4. Connect the circuit to CH1 or CH2 terminals.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How can series tracking mode be set when operating Aktakom ATH-22xx power supply?
  • How can I set parallel tracking mode when operating Aktakom ATH-22xx?
  • May I use AKTAKOM power supplies to charge accumulators?

  • How can series tracking mode be set when operating Aktakom ATH-22xx power supply?
    1. Press Tracking mode selection key (marked as 1 in the below picture) and release Tracking mode selection key (marked as 2) to enable series tracking mode. In series tracking mode CH2 output voltage and current value follows CH1 setting. The output voltage is double to CH1 display value.

    2. Turn CH2 Current knob clockwise to maximum current output and then use CH1 Current knob to adjust the desired current output value.
    3. Use CH1 Voltage knob to adjust the desired voltage output value.
    4. Connect the circuit to CH1 “+” terminal and CH2 “-” terminal to get double voltage output
    5. For the bi-polar DC power supply with common ground connect CH2 “+” terminal to “GND” grounding terminal. CH1 “+” terminal is the positive output and CH2 “-” terminal is the negative output

How can I set parallel tracking mode when operating Aktakom ATH-22xx?
    1. Press both Tracking mode selection keys to enable parallel tracking mode. In parallel tracking mode CH2 output voltage and current value follows CH1 setting. The output current is double to the CH1 display value.
    2. Use CH1 Voltage knob to adjust the desired voltage output value
    3. CH1 Current knob to adjust the desired current output value.
    4. Connect the circuit to the CH1 terminals to get double current output

Below is the illustration of parallel tracking mode

May I use AKTAKOM power supplies to charge accumulators?

AKTAKOM power supplies can’t be used for accumulator charging since it may cause the accumulator breakage (recharge, electrolyte boiling, extra pressure of the internal gas which will lead to the accumulator explosion). Accumulators should be charged with the current source which controls the accumulator voltage and regulates the charging current accordingly. When the required accumulator voltage is achieved such type of source simply stops the charging process, its name is a charging device.
